The Days of Our Lives recap for October 19-23, 2020, features the personifications of evil running amuck under the [protective cover of darkness.
Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights
Who knew the dangers a little bit of darkness could conceal? Orpheus (George DelHoyo) knew. And that’s why he engineered a blackout. It was the perfect cover for him, Rolf (William Utay), and Clyde (James Read) to make their respective escapes and head back to Salem in order to settle a few scores and right a few wrongs.
Orpheus hightailed it to (where else?) John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) penthouse and it was there that he made his favorite victim a pitch. Help him accomplish one teeny, tiny task, and he wouldn’t murder her beloved husband.
Rolf, meanwhile, scampered over to the DiMera mansion and attempted to locate the microchip that contained the “essence” of his late, great, much-lamented employer. Color him extremely pissed when Chad (Billy Flynn) admitted that he and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) ensured the device’s destruction.
As for Clyde, he headed straight for Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) room at the Salem Inn. Clyde’s always fancied himself a good father – even though his actions have left A LOT to be desired – so of course he wanted to be there for his son as he mourned the love of his life.
And luckily for Ben, Clyde was there to dissuade him from seeking out Vincent and gunning him down as he had intended.
Jan: “Why are you so threatened by me, Belle?” Belle: “Oh, well, let’s see. Maybe because you kidnapped Shawn and locked him in a cage for weeks. Or, [because you] tired to electrocute his grandfather in a bathtub. Or, most recently, after you kidnapped Shawn, AGAIN, you tried to blow up our entire graduating class.”
Jan also framed Belle for causing her to have a miscarriage…that little episode seems to have been forgotten by the writing staff. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
