General Hospital Recap: Carly and Jason’s Wedding Ends With A Bang

The General Hospital recap for Friday, September 17, 2021, features yet another event ending with a vehicle exploding, the rebirth of a surly mobster, and everyone singing the praises of a bride and groom.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Turns out, it’s not only Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) who’s content with standing around and letting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) die; in fact, the firefighters called to the scene of the blaze seemed just fine with standing around and doing absolutely nothing – what, you thought they’d get their hoses and try to put out the flames?

But have no fear, super Sonny is here! Not only did he shake off that huge beam that would have permanently pinned a lesser man, but Sonny merely strolled right through the fire and out the back door. He then promptly collapsed into a heap on the ground. People eventually noticed.

Opposite this, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) pledged their troths to one another, while the assemblage – including the usually persnickety Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) –  dabbed away their tears.

Back in Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) learned the hard way that “Mike” was no more, and that Sonny once again reigned supreme…and he’s not at all charmed by the fact that she fell in love with his wholesome persona! Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) met the new man and told Jax she felt a completely different vibe from him! Jax pointed out she’s finally met Sonny Corinthos.

GH Recap: Push Start Boom

Despite seemingly joining forces with Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto) and Mr. Buscema (Bart Tangredi) in a double-cross against Mr. and Mrs. Morgan, Madame Wu (Lydia Look) made a point of whispering a word of warning to a grateful Jason…but whether or not he was made aware and was able to dispose of the bomb that was strapped to his and Carly’s limousine remains to be seen! Either way, a limo went boom — but whose was it? You get three guesses and the first two don’t count.
