The General Hospital recap for November 9-13, 2020, features a plethora of characters learning the folly of their ways…the hard, hard way.
It’s all about timing. Unless you live in Port Charles, in which case timing means absolutely nothing. Anna (Finola Hughes) decided that it was time to end Alex’s (Finola Hughes) reign of terror, and she did…kind of.
She pumped her treacherous twin full of lead then let her escape off the Haunted Star. Sure, Anna claimed that one of the bullets she fired had been a part of “kill shot” but if she’d had a better since of timing, she wouldn’t have had this mess to deal with in the first place. Surely she can now see that she should have let Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) handle Alex on his terms weeks ago.
Nina (Cynthia Watros), it seems, waited far too long to initiate the search for her missing child – and all that time spent investing in a phony substitute didn’t help matters. For all intents and purposes, it seems that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was indeed that little girl all grown up, and now she’s deader than a door nail…maybe.
Had Curtis (Donnell Turner) been a little more diligent in his investigation of Cyrus (Jeff Kober), he, Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry), and Laura (Genie Francis) would probably have more to go on then a empty house that once contained SOMEONE that appears to have been mighty close to Cyrus.
Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) JUST got their marriage back on track, so, of course, it’s time for the other shoe to drop. And boy did it ever. The dreaded homicide-inducing tumor is rearing its ugly head again, and this time there doesn’t appear to be any hope of a cure. The Baldwins are not allowed to have a nice, quiet life.
Speaking of being denied a hard-earned, pleasant existence, Chase (Josh Swickard) finally decided that it was time to come clean with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) about his deception…only to walk in on her and Michael (Chad Duell) preparing to consummate their marriage – for the second time that day! Seems there’s little hope of “Chillow” ever making their way back to each now.
And finally, we come to Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). She missed her opportunity to be truthful with Michael, and that has forced her down a dark, dark path. How dark you ask? Well, the last we saw she overdosing on Cyrus’s living room floor while he irritatedly reprimanded her for doing so.
Laura claimed she had no foreknowledge about the long-ago homicide that Cyrus is currently investigating…but that was obvious a lie. Given the man’s interest in Port Charles’s public protector, is it possible that case is one featuring Laura herself?
After all, she is responsible for the death of David Hamilton, a predator who lured Laure into a sexual dalliance while pining after her very married mother. Lesley (Denise Alexander) initially took the wrap to spare Laura a jail sentence but the truth was eventually outed.
And the facts do seem to add up. Laura’s crime took place in 1978, so it fits the “over forty years old,” criteria. Ditto the fact that the crime took place in Port Charles. And since Laura was still a teenager, it makes sense that the file would be so heavily redacted. But what exactly is Cyrus’s endgame? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
