General Hospital Recap: Austin Gives Up, Brook Lynn Rubs It In

The General Hospital recap for Thursday, October 21, 2021, features time waiting for no man – or delinquent youth. Also, Sonny acts like a decent person – much to Ava Jerome Cassadine’s surprise.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) is over, done, finito; he loved his father; he wanted to see him recognized as a true Quartermaine heir…but that family is one big basket of deplorable. Why be associated with them at all?

So, to that end, Austin signed away any rights he may have to Edward’s fortune. Color Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) entirely pleased with herself. But Austin isn’t down and out quite yet…and he made that abundantly clear to Brook Lynn.

Opposite this, Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) made something abundantly clear to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth): his attitude, and their marriage, weren’t cutting it anymore. It’s time to talk d-i-v-o-r-c-e.

GH Recap: Impediments

Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is worried sick that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) might go and do something underhanded where Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is concerned. And while she and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) discussed her concern, Michael busied himself with doing something underhanded where Nina is concerned. Again, we ask, what exactly can she be charged with?

General Hospital Recap: Father Knows Best

When Ava arrived for her meeting with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she was ready to do battle; she wanted shared custody of little Avery, and she wasn’t about to take no for an answer; heck, she was even ready to blackmail Sonny with her knowledge of his affair of the heart with Nina.

And then Sonny went and surprised her by agreeing to a far more reasonable arrangement. Sure, it’s still not 50/50, but Ava wasn’t about to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Meanwhile, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) huffed and puffed and swore that he wouldn’t do what his father and Ava were asking of him – as if he’d ever accept that marriage; he’d much rather take his chances at trial. But would he really?
