General Hospital Prison Guard Actor, Josh Murray, Gets Married

General Hospital fans who’ve been keeping an eye on Drew Cain’s captivity storyline have noticed the character of Russel, one of Drew’s guards, who is played by actor Josh Murray. Recently, the recurring GH player posted a major life update on his social media account.

Murray, who began airing as Russel in August, has gotten married to Catherine Murray. The two wed last month on September 19th in Santa Barbara. “Thank you to Nick Turner and Mary Devine for putting on the most magical celebration of our love a person could ask for…” Murray posted on his Instagram account along with some beautiful wedding photos that can be seen below.

“Thank you to our friends who joined us for making us feel so loved and supported,” the groom added. “Thanks to all of you who sent love and support from afar, I wish we had room to invite more of you! And most of all thank you Catherine for sharing your heart and life with me. There is nothing and no one I would rather have.”

Congratulations From GH Co-Star Cameron Mathison

In another post, Murray shared more photos from photographer Marlies Hartmann @mhartphoto. Drew and Russ may be in conflict on-screen but Mathison has nothing but well-wishes for his scene partner. Mathison, who has certainly seen his share of lavish weddings having been in daytime for so many years, posted of Murray’s nuptials, “Insane!!!!” followed by four emojis representing fire, “congratulations you two!!” Murray replied. “thanks Cameron, such a blessed day.”

Murray’s blogged about a handful of episodes as GH’s Russel. Drew tried to bribe him to help him win his freedom to no avail. Time will tell when or if we see the actor back on the show. In the meantime, Soap Hub sends congratulations to the happy couple on their marriage.
