Y&R spoilers make it obvious that Abby Chancellor hasn’t heard from her husband, Chance, since before their son, Dominic, was born. The person she has heard from is Dominic’s biological father, Devon Hamilton. Devon was there when Abby panicked over Dominic crying, Devon was there when Abby panicked over Dominic sniffling, Devon was there… a lot.

And even though Devon (Bryton James) recently welcomed Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to move in with him, Young and the Restless viewers are speculating that he might find himself drawn towards the mother of his child. How almost 4,000 fans feel about that possibility:

Proximity is one heck of an aphrodisiac, 40% of you sigh. Most couples on soaps happen because people kept running into each other – or got trapped in a cabin/elevator/secret room together. Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon not only have a connection now, but it’s also a biological one. And presumably very cute. (We don’t know, we’ve only seen blankets up to now.) How could they help but fall for each other? No matter how Chance or Amanda might feel about it.

She’s married, he’s in a committed relationship, and neither one is the kind of person who wants to hurt their partner. Sure, Devon cheated on Amanda with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) a few months ago. But that was before he and Amanda moved in together. Things are totally different now.

If Chance never comes back, Devon will definitely step up to play a paternal role for Dominic. But that’s where it will end, 27% of the voters feel certain. He and Abby can raise their son, and they can be great friends, but nothing romantic will happen. You want to continue liking them both, and that can’t happen if they cheat.
