General Hospital Poll Results: Yay Or Nay On Martin Gray?

Martin Gray has been hanging around General Hospital for almost exactly a year now. But are fans looking to see more – or less – of him now that the show is back in production? Here’s what almost 3,000 voters told us:

General Hospital Polling: Less Is More

It was a photo finish but, in the end, 52% of the audience decreed that the silver fox legal eagle is fine just the way he is – recurring in small doses. Gray is fine shuffling into the courtroom, trying to keep one hand on his wacky clients like Nelle (Chloe Lanier), and the other on his coming and going Southern accent.

You have no interest in seeing Gray involved in a romance, or, worse, becoming a part of Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) organization. He doesn’t need to play second chair to Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) or woo a random woman. A little Martin Gray goes a long way. And you’re already there.

More Is More

Are you kidding us, 48% of the fans counter? We have the chance to see more of one of ABC Daytime’s most popular leading men, and you expect us to turn our collective noses up at that? Uh-uh! Sure, he’s not Tad Martin, but he’s still Michael E. Knight, and that’s close enough for government work!

Imagine him with Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman), with Nina (Cynthia Watros), with Carly (Laura Wright), with Lucy (Lynn Herring). Any one of those pairings could be dynamite, and what if he tried juggling all four ladies at the same time? This is the guy who was sleeping with Liza Colby (Marcy Walker)… and her mother, Marian (Jennifer Bassey), at the same time.

He cut a wide swath through Pine Valley. Just imagine what he could do to Port Charles! We don’t need less Martin Gray. We need much, much more! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
