General Hospital Spoilers WILD Speculation: Valentin Saves the World (For Nina?)

General Hospital spoilers reveal a return to what we were seeing in May, but that doesn’t mean we can’t see something new, too.

General Hospital Spoilers Speculation

We realize that with COVID-19 ravaging people’s lives – though not on General Hospital, Port Charles remains disease-free (as long as it’s not a monkey virus or cat-scratch fever) – it’s hard to remember that there’s yet another menace lurking on the horizon: global warming. It hasn’t gone anywhere, even if coronavirus is getting all the current press.

But while there’s nothing the people of GH can do about it (the doctors there are, what is the word we’re looking for, kind of incompetent), there is something one particular citizen can do about global warming.

Flashback To Luke And Laura

The early 1980s were the golden age of daytime drama. And one of the main reasons was Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis) on the run… fighting Mikkos Cassadine’s weather machine. This machine, which used artificial diamond dust (is anybody taking notes?) to lower the planet’s temperature. Mikkos made it snow in upstate New York… in July.

Heir Apparent

Mikkos is dead. His brothers, Tony and Victor, are dead. His sons, Stavros and Stefan, are dead. His wife, Helena (Constance Towers) is dead – maybe. So who does that leave? There’s his daughter, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and his grandson, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma). There’s also his great-grandson, Spencer. But he can’t be trusted with anything.

Nikolas was considered dead for a while, himself, and Alexis is too noble, blah, blah, blah to have anything to do with the Cassadine legacy. So that leaves… Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).

Valentin: Our Savior

Sure, he’s not a blood Cassadine, he’s Helena’s bastard. But he makes the most sense as heir to the weather machine. Valentin can use it to save the planet, rehabilitate the Cassadine name, become the most beloved figure on the world stage, AND achieve what lying about her daughter’s identity couldn’t – get Nina (Cynthia Watros) to love him! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
