The General Hospital stock battle is over and ELQ now belongs to one Valentin Cassadine! Bye-bye, Michael (Chad Duell), hello, new owner! It’s a done deal. Or is it? Here is what almost 13,000 viewers expect to happen next:
General Hospital Polling: Stealing Home
A majority 77% of the audience doesn’t expect this change of ownership to last for long. You’re pretty sure the Quartermaine family will think of some way to steal the company back. Sam (Kelly Monaco) really screwed up when she signed over Danny and Scout’s shares, but, surely, that can be fixed.
Is there a handy meat-hook Sonny (Maurice Benard) can use? That usually works pretty well when you need someone to sign papers they don’t want to sign. And if that doesn’t work, maybe they can dig up yet another long-lost relative to contest their share of the inheritance. Edward already has two illegitimate sons. Why not a few more?!
Winner Takes It All
Of course, then there’s the 13% of you who think Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) will make a huge success of this new endeavor. Certainly, he’ll do a better job than Michael, Child CEO, who cares more about his son’s custody battle – not that there’s anything wrong with that – than the legacy of a family he has basically rejected. Valentin has something to prove. Which should make the shareholders very happy.
Take It Down
Then again, an almost equal 10% predict that Valentin will run the company into the ground. Either out of spite or because he’ll waste all the profits on trying to build a weather machine like the man he once believed was his father. What if Valentin opts to use the Quartermaine funds to rebuild the Cassadine empire and run it his way this time? He can stick it to the Quartermaines, and Mikkos and Helena at the same time! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
