Valentin is cranky these days on General Hospital. He just learned he’s not a Cassadine – or, at least, he doesn’t share DNA with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Mikkos wasn’t his father. But Helena (Constance Towers) was his mother. That’s gotta count for something…
But now Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) has to reevaluate his entire life and decide who he wants to be now. Should he go dark? Darker? Darkest? We heard from over 5,000 fans about the Valentin you really yearn to see:
For years before we even saw him, GH viewers heard about Valentin Cassadine. He was so bad, even Helena was afraid of him. And then he showed up. And he was… cranky. He made frowny faces. He made threats.
But he also whined. And played the piano. And made threats. He rarely followed through on. We were promised the baddest Cassadine of them all. And whether he’s biologically one or not, 48% of the audience still wants to see the villain they were primed to expect.
Conversely, 30% of you would prefer to seem the kinder, gentler, more domesticated Valentin. You enjoy him mooning over Nina (Cynthia Watros) and babbling in French to Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez).
You want to see him at home, making plans for his family’s future, instead of scheming to destroy other people’s. Now that he knows he isn’t a Cassadine, this is Valentin’s perfect opportunity to reform and leave the evil life behind.
A last place 22% are OK with Valentin embracing his inner househusband, but you want him to go on a journey of redemption first. Before he steps into the light, he needs to prove that he truly regrets everything he’s done in the past and is turning over a new leaf. After burning the old one. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
