General Hospital Poll Results: Happy To Meet Trina’s Family?

Trina has been on General Hospital since 2018, although not always played by the same actress. She was introduced as a friend of Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Cam (William Lipton). She went on their road trip as part of Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) bucket list. She flirted with Cam, but he had too much other stuff going on to notice.

Now, viewers have learned that Trina’s (Sydney Mikayla) dad is none other than Taggert (Real Andrews), the Wile E. Coyote to Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) Road Runner. Plus, her mother will debut this week. Are fans excited to meet the family, as it were? We heard from over 3000 voters!

Here To Stay

Getting a family is a good sign, 52% of you cheer. Characters with a family are more likely to stick around, and trying her to an established figure from Port Charles’ past is even better. Viewers noticed the chemistry between Cam and Trina and were actively rooting for the two to notice it themselves. Now that she’s even better settled in, you’re rooting for some romantic action! Stories Matter

A smaller 38% of General Hospital fans happy with the revelation, but they also know that it doesn’t mean a thing unless the writers actually write for Trina and Taggert. And write them something good. Port Charles is full of people who just sort of… hang around. Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman). Monica (Leslie Charleson). Olivia (Lisa LoCicero). They’re there… but that’s about it. That’s not what fans want for Trina or Taggert. So you’re holding off your enthusiasm until you see evidence on the page.

Family Of Your Choosing

Only 10% prefer to see Trina making friends with other people, like Ava (Maura West), who obviously sees her as a Kiki (Hayley Erin) replacement. Being in Ava’s orbit is more likely to give Trina a chance at story than being tethered to Taggert, who only ever pops up so Sonny can prove his moral superiority over those on the side of law and order.
