It’s time for some good news on General Hospital, and whether or not you believe that Anna and Finn’s wedding fits the bill, they deserve something — and a celebratory shindig doesn’t plan itself!
It needs over 9,000 viewers to let the lovebirds know exactly how they need to mark their big day since there are so many decisions to be made:
A majority 51% of the audience doesn’t care where the wedding takes place, who officiates it, what Anna (Finola Hughes) wears, and whether Finn (Michael Easton) dusts off a new facial expression for the occasion. All you want is for an injured Hayden (Rebecca Budig) to barge in at a critical moment and stop this travesty of a nuptials before it begins!
A slightly smaller 43% of you don’t want a big blowout. First, Anna already had that – with Duke (Ian Buchanan) in a kilt and everything. Second of all, soaps can’t afford that kind of thing anymore. And, third of all, Anna and Finn aren’t the big wedding type. They’re private people.
They don’t need public approval for their union. They’re all about each other and should be able to celebrate in a fitting manner. Is it too much to ask for Robin (Kimberly McCullough) to be there? With Emma and Noah? They can play with Violet! And not dwell on the fact that their new aunt is younger than they are.
Only 6% want a wedding with all the trimmings. And by trimmings you mean bridesmaids and groomsmen and flower girls and ring bearers and fancy cake. But, most importantly, a big wedding must have a role for Roxy the lizard. She is obviously Finn’s most meaningful and long-term relationship. And how cute would she look in a little lizard tuxedo?
You say that will keep the union from being taken seriously? Is anyone taking it seriously? General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
