Stephen A. Smith pops in for another appearance as Brick, Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) trusted security advisor. Look for the character to warn Sonny about a possible new threat on Monday, January 17.
Lydia Look, who’s been MIA as Selina Wu — one of the heads of the five mob families in Port Charles, will be back. The actress told Soap Opera Digest that she’s been out of the country on vacation, but plans to resume the role upon returning to The States.
GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running soap is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running serial, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) many decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please its viewers.
