General Hospital C&G News
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join the General Hospital fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the ABC soap.
The week of September 14, 2020
Primetime and daytime vet Kim Delaney is heading to General Hospital in an undisclosed new role. The actress, who starred on NYPD Blue and Army Wives and played Jenny Gardner on All My Children, began filming at the soap’s ABC studio complex, last week.
Delaney already has “family” behind-the-scenes at GH. Michael E. Knight (Martin) played her brother, Tad, on AMC. Look for her character to begin airing in the next few weeks. (Might she be the new head nurse who has demoted Epiphany and Elizabeth? And will she have tied to Martin Gray, which would make things feel like the 1980s? Soap Hub thinks she should be Elizabeth’s never-before-seen mother.)
Kelly Thiebaud is back in the hospital fold as Dr. Britt Westbourne. She made her first appearance on Friday, September 11, and shares scenes with William deVry’s Julian on Monday, September 14. She’s the new chief of staff at GH and is bound to cause trouble, which we assume is exactly why Cyrus hired her since trouble is his middle name.
Vernee Watson continues her short visit as Stella Henry, this week, while Mark Samuel is back as nurse Felix DuBois on Tuesday, September 15. They are both there as part of Mike’s (Max Gail) farewell story this week. Sonny’s father will finally pass and they have been integral in his care.
Please note that air dates may be subject to change. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
