Hudson West is best known playing Elizabeth’s middle son, Jake, on General Hospital, but he’s also been on shows such as Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy, Grace and Frankie, and I’m Dying Up Here.
Along with his television work, West has appeared in movies and reality shows, too! From where he was born and raised to competing on a reality show, here are five fast facts about the General Hospital actor.
In The Beginning
West was born March 3 in Dayton, Ohio, and he got his start in the entertainment world by going to a modeling agency in Cincinnati to do print work. He went to an Expo, where he got to show off his modeling and acting skills, which is where an agent spotted him and suggested he move to Los Angeles. He got his first commercial at age 6.
First Recurring Role
West started working in television back in 2014, but he got his first recurring role in 2016 on the limited series American Crime: The People vs. OJ Simpson. West played the character of Travis Clark, who was Marcia Clark’s son.
Wish List
He’s already gotten to be a part of television and movies and work with great casts, but West has actors he’d love to work with in the future. He’s revealed he’d love to do a movie with stars like Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, Steve Carell, and Melissa McCarthy, just to name a few!
Going For The Big Awards
West got his role as Jake Spencer on General Hospital back in 2016, and he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Performance In a Drama Series in 2018 when he was just 10 years old.
Put On Your Dancing Shoes
Along with his acting career, West is also a bit of a dancer! In fact, he competed on Dancing With the Stars: Juniors, which aired in 2018. His dance partner was Kameron Couch, and he was mentored by Hayley Erbert. Though they didn’t win, they did pull off some great routines. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
