Hughes is very close friends with Kelly Ripa, who played Hayley on All My Children when Hughes played Alex and eventually Anna. Not only are they very good pals, but Ripa is also supposedly a very big fan of Hughes’ film Staying Alive and apparently remembers all the lines! Now that’s a good friend.
Hughes frequently guest-starred on the very popular show Charmed as the mother of the three witches, Patty Halliwell.
