There seems to be a feud brewing at ABC between some of the biggest powerhouses on the network — and now Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo is weighing in on the controversy.

It all began when Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley, All My Children) stated on Live With Kelly & Ryan that she didn’t care for The Bachelor because it shows a series of women chasing after one man, who often isn’t worthy, and doesn’t always present them in a flattering way. She called the program “creepy” and “gross.”

Bachelor franchise creator Mike Fleiss tweeted back at Ripa, telling her that the success of his show pays her salary.

Fleiss’s response didn’t sit too well with Pompeo, who used her Twitter account (which has 1.63 million followers) to share her feelings with the reality TV executive.

What do you think? Post a comment!

“Okay @fleissmeister… that’s some handle bro! Your show does NOT pay @KellyRipa salary. Also we don’t attack successful women on our network and men certainly cannot take credit for their success. Don’t get me started on your show cuz I’m a savage….”

Before ending her tweet, Pompeo took a shot at the Bachelor franchise, referencing that it doesn’t have much diversity among its participants. “#bachelorsoooowhite,” the actress added.

No telling if this will be the end of the tweets on this subject among the players involved. The Bachelorette has started a new season so perhaps there’s no such thing as bad publicity?

While ratings for this season of The Bachelorette, which chronicles Hannah Brown’s quest to find love among a field of 30 competitors, were down, the premiere won the coveted 18-49 demo for the night, beating out NBC series The Voice.
