Why and How Selina Wu Could Have a Bigger General Hospital Role

So far, all Lydia Look has done as Selina Wu on General Hospital is threaten Sonny Corinthos. Not that this isn’t a wonderful thing. Anytime someone reminds Sonny…and Carly Corinthos…and Jason Morgan…that they aren’t nearly the badasses they think they are, we cheer and beg for more. But there is so, so much more Selina can do.

General Hospital: Loving You

Selina isn’t just a powerful woman. She is a beautiful, magnetic one. She deserves a love interest. And no, we don’t mean the obvious — Sonny (Maurice Benard). She can do better than that. How about Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy)? He is one of the few men in Port Charles who could give Selina a run for her money. And just think of what trouble they could get into if they joined forces!

No, we can hear some fans protesting! Selina is a bad, bad person! She doesn’t deserve love! She is incapable of giving or receiving it!

May we present General Hospital Exhibit A…Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Before Selina, she was the original badass…who didn’t deserve love. (When a lunatic like Cesar Faison thinks you’re too much, you’re…too much.) But she got the redemption treatment, a daughter, a son, a grandson…and even a love interest in Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), who Liesl makes look like a naughty boy instead of a major villain.

General Hospital: Triple Play

In fact, we’d like to propose a triangle: Liesl, Scott…and Selina Wu. You can see why Scott would be drawn to both women. And Selina is about the only challenger who could give Liesl a run for her money. This could be the most entertaining triangle in Port Charles — a clash of the titans for the ages! Which means more Ms. Wu on our screens!
