General Hospital has a long history of mob rule. First, there was Frank Smith’s empire. Then Duke Lavery and Mr. Big and the Jeromes. Then Frank Smith again. Then Sonny Corinthos. And the Jeromes again. Then Sonny again. So…much…Sonny. Talk about the patriarchy! Which is why we’re delighted to see Selina Wu stepping up to the plate and taking the reins of criminal leadership — and bringing (dragging) Britt Westbourne along for the ride.
General Hospital: Extended Universe
Ms. Wu (Lydia Look) made it clear to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) that the younger woman would be manipulating Brad Cooper (Parry Shen)…on Ms. Wu’s orders. And if Britt didn’t do as Ms. Wu said, Ms. Wu would tattle on her about Britt’s (illegal) escapades with Daddy!
Oh, yes, hasn’t Ms. Wu mentioned it before? She and Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) go way back. And wherever talk of Faison goes…talk of Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is sure to follow!
GH: Girl Power
Sure, Liesl is playing nice now, but how long before she’s pulled into the intrigue, either by Faison’s involvement or to protect her Britta? (Yes, of course, we expect Faison to rise from the dead. Why else bring him up?) And then we’ll have three powerful women scheming and plotting.
General Hospital: Always Room For One More
Did we say three? Why not four! Speaking of why introduce a character only not to do anything with them. Remember when Jennifer Smith (Holly Gagnier) popped up at Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) memorial? And then she made a mysterious phone call to a mysterious person? And then she disappeared again?
What if Jennifer is connected to Ms. Wu — either for her or against her? Now we’ve got four women running the Port Charles underworld. And we like it! Equal pay for equal work! It’s time for some female representation in these killing fields!
