On General Hospital, Willow may have just been exposed for drugging Drew and keeping him trapped in his own body, but she could still have one very unlikely person protecting her from the worst fallout. Drew has every reason to confirm Lulu’s story and bury Willow. Unfortunately for him, doing that could reopen questions about Jack Brennan’s disappearance, and that is one subject Drew may desperately want left alone.

Key Takeaways

  • Drew has every reason to confirm Lulu’s story and expose Willow for drugging him.
  • Ava wants Drew to use the scandal to bury Willow and shift attention away from their own problems.
  • Drew knows that confirming Lulu’s report could reopen questions about Jack’s disappearance.
  • Willow may end up protected by Drew, not out of mercy, but because exposing her could put Drew and Ava at risk, too.

Drew Has Every Reason to Destroy Willow

Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) story gave Drew (Cameron Mathison) the chance to tell the world exactly what Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) did to him. She kept him drugged for months, let everyone believe he suffered a stroke, and played the devoted wife while he was trapped and unable to expose her. Under normal circumstances, Drew would probably need very little encouragement to make Willow pay.

Ava (Maura West) certainly thinks that is the smart move. She told Drew to confirm Lulu’s reporting because pushing Willow further into the scandal could help distract everyone from their own problems. Considering Drew’s current relationship with public sympathy, becoming the acknowledged victim for once would also be a fairly convenient change of pace.

But Drew hesitated for a reason. Lulu’s story linked the same paralytic to Jack (Chris McKenna), and Drew immediately realized that it could bring new attention to Jack’s disappearance. Suddenly, confirming Willow’s guilt is not just about revenge.

Drew’s Secrets Could Protect Willow

Drew knows that if investigators start digging into what happened to Jack, the trail could lead somewhere dangerous. He already warned Ava that she was the last person known to have seen Jack alive. That means any renewed police interest could put both of them under scrutiny very quickly.

So Drew now has a nasty little dilemma. He can confirm Willow’s story and help destroy the woman who victimized him, or he can keep quiet and reduce the chances that anyone starts asking the wrong questions about Jack. That is a remarkable way for Willow to catch a break.

The irony is almost too perfect. Willow may end up protected by Drew, but not because he forgives her or wants to spare her. Drew could stay silent simply because exposing Willow might expose him, too.
