General Hospital (GH) was practically built on buried bodies – and not just the ones the hospital failed to treat, but the ones multiple generations of mobsters put into the ground.

Since the 1990s, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and his monosyllabic enforcer, Jason (Steve Burton), have been killing folks right and left.

Before them, there was Frank Smith and Company, and after there was Joe Scully, Trevor Lansing, Cesar Faison, and multiple Jeromes. The undertakers must sure appreciate the business!

So, why is Sonny suddenly so bent out of shape over one measly body that Mike (Max Gail) remembers his baby boy burying in a field in Croton? More importantly, why is GH expecting fans to care? Here’s how over 9,000 admitted they feel about the story:

A dementia-addled Mike babbled about this body in Croton, Sonny and Jason ran to dig it up and found both it and the gun that did the deed missing.

And then, 79% of you yawned and hit the fast forward button. You don’t know who this dead guy was, you don’t know why Sonny killed him, you don’t know why Mike is so fixated on it, and you’re confused about why any of it matters.

Obviously, anything that happens to Sonny is of primary importance to Port Charles… just not to you.

Dig It Up!
You know what will happen if that body is ever found 21% of the audience frets, the authorities will use it as yet another ploy to prove that Sonny isn’t a moral man, and try to railroad him into jail.

And that cannot be allowed. Until Sonny figures out what happened to his victim, you are going to be on the edge of your seats. All other stories can go on the back burner because Sonny is in trouble!

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
