Best of the Best: Who Is the Right General Hospital Man For Sam?

Sam McCall has been single on General Hospital ever since she and Jason Morgan broke up — for the umpteenth time. But it’s only now, that Jason is presumed dead, that she’s truly ready to move on.

So who is the next best man for Sam (Kelly Monaco)? She’s said those three little words to one man but the other is her daughter’s father. And then there’s the man who has come back from the dead before. What over 2,000 voters told us:

Half and Half

Roughly half of you, 51%, are content with Sam’s current relationship. She and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) look very pretty together. They are both single parents who get along well enough with each other’s kids. And nothing too dramatic is happening in either of their lives. That’s not great fun for viewers, but a calm relationship is a pleasant relationship. So, yeah, why not stick to that?

General Hospital: The Other Man

In between Jason (Steve Burton), Sam fell in love with and married Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Of course, for the majority of their relationship, she thought Drew was Jason. And then she found out that he was her lost love’s twin’s brother. So it was never really just Sam and Drew. But they do have a daughter together, and Drew was a better dad to Danny than his real father, Jason, ever pretended to want to be. This is why 31% of the audience is cheering for this little family’s reunion. Drew deserves to beat his brother in…something.

Nothing Like the Real Thing

Forget Drew, forget Dante, forget any man who isn’t Jason, 18% urge. Dead, shmead. He’s been dead before. And then he came back. Does anyone really think that won’t be the case again this time? Sam shouldn’t even bother choosing between any of the other candidates. She should sit by the window, light a candle, sigh repeatedly, and wait for her Jason to return. Sure, they’ve never been able to make it work before. But how dare she even consider moving on?
