On General Hospital, Maxie, Nina, Liesl and more are still mourning Nathan’s death. He left a big hole to fill in Port Charles, both at the police station and in the hearts of those who loved him.
In the real world, dead means dead. But, on soaps, dead means…temporarily away. Sonny (Maurice Benard) has come back from the dead. Carly (Laura Wright). Jason (Steve Burton). Anna (Finola Hughes). Should Nathan (Ryan Paevey) follow in their footsteps? Almost 14,000 fans had an opinion!
Nate Is Great!
Yes, please, 57% of you are asking nicely. Nathan deserves to meet his son. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) deserves to be saved from a de facto relationship with Peter (Wes Ramsey).
Nina (Michelle Stafford) might lessen her grip on Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) a little bit, and Nathan can help her get to the bottom of who Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) really is. Plus, Nathan’s return might bring Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) home.
Not to mention we can always use more pretty. And Nathan is very, very pretty. Why should Julian (William deVry) be the only one showing off his abs?
Ashes To Ashes
That would be stupid, 43% of the audience huffs. We saw him die. There was all that crying. And then Peter spent all those weeks chained to a bed to pay for his role in Nathan’s demise.
There’s not much story to be gleaned from his return, either. So, OK, Nathan is back. Yay! He and Maxie get back together. Yay! Little James has a daddy and they’re a happy family. Yay!
Then what? What’s going to keep us on the edge of our seats – save waiting for him to remove his shirt yet again?
Nathan wasn’t exactly a font of excitement when he was alive, coming back from the dead is unlikely to change that.
