As far as daytime entrances go, Josh Kelly’s has to rank up there with the all-time tops. His character, Cody Bell, parachuted onto the General Hospital scene, landing smack in the middle of the Metro Court rooftop pool.
Josh Kelly Is New To General Hospital
Viewers know little about the guy so far, except that he’s Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) old summer camp pal. But what about the actor who portrays him? A former One Life to Live star (he played Cutter Wentworth from 2010 to 2013), Kelly also portrayed Jeremy Caner on Lifetime’s UnReal and has been featured in the Transformers movie series as well as the primetime hits Grey’s Anatomy, Army Wives, and more.

1. He was born in Yokosuka, Japan, but was raised in Columbia, Maryland, where he graduated from Atholton High School.
2. After graduating high school, Kelly enlisted in the Army. He was deployed to Afghanistan one month after 9/11.

5. Landing on GH came rather easily for Kelly. He simply contacted the show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, who he’d previously worked with at One Life to Live, to express his interest in returning to daytime television. And, just like that, the soap came up with a cool role for him.
6. During his teen years, he was a member of his high school’s lacrosse and wrestling teams. Back then, he was also a self-proclaimed computer nerd. In fact, he often created simple computer games to play.
7. You can follow the actor on Instagram, where he describes himself as “Technically: actor/adventurer; formerly cool.” His handle is @justjokingjk.
