In Memoriam
Veteran journalist and former political commentator Cokie Roberts died on September 17 after a long battle with breast cancer. Also passing away, this week, was legendary NASCAR driver Mike Stefanik, who died tragically on September 15.
Stage and television actress Phyllis Newman, who burst onto the Broadway scene in the early 1960s, died on September 15. And Ric Ocasek, a Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Famer and former lead singer of The Cars, passed away on the same day in New York City.
