Beloved actor Frank Vincent died on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He passed away at the age of 78 after suffering a heart attack last week.
According to TMZ, Vincent died during heart surgery after experiencing complications. He underwent open heart procedure today because of last week’s heart attack.
Vincent, who was well recognized for his tough-guy roles, created an acting career that spanned 41 years. While you may remember him from many different characters he’s portrayed, two of his most recognizable are Billy Batts in “Goodfellas” and Phil Leotardo in HBO’s hit series, “The Sopranos.”
In addition to his decades spanning acting career, Vincent was also a musician, comedian, author, and producer. The North Adams, Massachusetts, native is survived by his son, Anthony.
