Suits LA is on its way. Fans have been waiting impatiently for the return of this legal drama, which became one of Netflix’s most-watched shows. The new trailer teased the return of the show’s beloved character, Harvey Specter.

What This Could Mean

Harvey’s (Gabriel Macht) return could offer a connection to the original series, which aired on the USA Network. However, Harvey won’t be as heavily featured as he was in Suits — Macht is a recurring player here. While Harvey is a friend and former colleague of the spinoff’s lead character, there’s a chance the show could revisit his relationship with Donna (Sarah Rafferty). Even though the couple ultimately exchanged “I dos” in the series finale, the show left their marriage in the air.

The show didn’t have time to explore Harvey and Donna’s newlywed bliss. Hopefully, the spinoff series will at least update fans on the couple’s current status. Viewers loved watching Harvey and Donna’s romance blossom on the original series. However, Rafferty hasn’t confirmed her return to the spinoff, reports ScreenRant.

Cast & Premiere Details

The new drama will also have a new cast of characters played by Stephen Amell, Bryan Greenberg, Josh McDermitt, and Lex Scott Davis. It’s set in the same universe as the original drama. As per Variety, the spinoff will follow former federal prosecutor Ted Black (Amell), who has “reinvented himself, representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles.”

According to Us Weekly, the pilot was shot in Vancouver, Canada. However, production then moved to Los Angeles. The legal drama is set to premiere on Sunday, February 23, at 9 p.m. EST on NBC and then will continue to roll out on Peacock. The original Suits ran for nine seasons. It again became a hit when the entire series dropped on Netflix in June 2023. At the time, the show followed Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a college dropout who got a job with a New York City law firm.

The OG show premiered in 2011 and lasted until 2019. This is the same show that ignited Meghan Markle’s acting career long before she became a royal, philanthropist, and lifestyle influencer. Check out the trailer for yourself below:
