Star Wars Icon Mark Hamill Overwhelmed By The Mandalorian Cameo Reaction

By now, every Star Wars fan in the galaxy is aware that the last episode of Season 2 of Disney+’s The Mandalorian ended with an appearance of Luke Skywalker as Mark Hamill revisited his iconic role in one of the most surprising things on TV in 2020.

With the hashtag #No-Words, Hamill took to his Twitter account to thank fans for the incredible reaction he’s received from his cameo.

“Seeing fan’s reactions to Luke’s return is something I will cherish forever,” the actor wrote. “Their anticipation seeing the X-Wing/Ep. 6 Robes/a lightsaber/a GREEN lightsaber/a gloved hand/an ungloved hand/a Force choke/R2-was OVERWHELMING & very moving to me.”

Mark Hamill also posted a video of Mixed Reactions, a series of opinions of the episode from podcasters and fans. All agreed it was hands-down one of the best episodes of the season, thanks in great part to Jedi Master Skywalker doing his thing, annihilating the platoon of Dark Troopers.

The reactions from the Legends of Podcasters is probably what most fans felt when they first made out who they thought could be Luke Skywalker. The popular trio of podcasters, who watch the show as they discuss it, are totally enthralled and shocked by the reveal.

One even says this is what he hoped Luke would have been in The Last Jedi, a badass Jedi.

The four podcasters of Blind Wave are even more excited when they see the X-Wing Fighter, knowing it must be Luke. They are like little kids on Christmas morning when they see their presents under the tree. Podcast after podcast have similar reactions, with some even crying over the excitement.

The decision to bring Hamill back — even with the CGI to make him look younger — seems to have been a huge hit with everyone and further secures the legacy of The Mandalorian as a must-see show for Star Wars fans, as you never know what you might see and who may appear.
