Sophie Turner, who is still airing as Sansa Stark in the final season of Game of Thrones, has a new project that will hit theaters in a couple of months. While she played Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse, she is now taking her character to new heights. As in the comics, Jean is going to take on the title role in the upcoming film Dark Phoenix!

After teasing her Instagram followers that she would have big news to post the next day, the talented actress certainly delivered — when she posted the final Dark Phoenix trailer, and it will certainly get your heart racing. In it, actors can be seen reprising their Apocalypse roles.

The cast of Dark Phoenix includes Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), and Alexandra Shipp (Storm).

The trailer reveals that, as in the comics, the Phoenix force merges with Jean during a space mission. As her power strengthens, Jean’s inability to control the Phoenix force decreases, and, as the trailer indicates “bad things happen.”

Will she be able to contain her new abilities? Or will the X-Men have to choose between their teammate and the world — perhaps, even the universe? It would be a horrible choice but that plight is the gold that has been mined in many superhero films.

In the comics, the Dark Phoenix saga was brought to life by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne with inker Terry Austin. Claremont and Byrne receive story credits on the film’s IMDB.com page. Check out the trailer in Turner’s post below.

Dark Phoenix hits movie theaters on June 7.
