The second season of When Hope Calls premieres on Sunday, April, on Great American Family. Meanwhile, WCTH is wrapping up its 12th season later this month on Hallmark. Hearties and Hopefuls are buzzing about both shows. SoapHub previously confirmed that When Hope Calls takes place at the same time as WCTH.
This opens up a plot hole. According to Parade, Cindy Busby will join When Hope Calls Season 2 as attorney Nora Anderson. Busby originally portrayed Marlise Bennett in Season 4 of WCTH. One clever fan took to Reddit to expose the hole in this post. Does Nora have a doppelganger?

Cindy Busby is playing a new character in season 2, but she also played Carson’s sister in a few episodes of When Calls the Heart. Since they are in the same universe, there are two versions of Cindy Busby in this world.”

Other fans took their thoughts to the thread. Most of them agree that it’s not a big deal. Still, it’s funny to see Busby play two different characters in the WCTH universe. Some fans noted that it’s not uncommon for an actor to play different roles in the same show. It even happens in soap operas.
“Wait until you hear about Law and Order and how they reuse actors all the time,” one fan joked. However, other fans have different theories for this new character. Maybe Nora is pulling the wool over other people’s eyes. Or maybe some of your favorites from WCTH will appear in this new series. “It’s possible it’s the same character, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see all the discarded characters from WCTH on this show at some point, l like Clara and Jesse, Carson, Pastor Frank,” another Redditor commented.
