Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Jenna Johnson knows what it’s like to go viral. Her Disney Night Samba dance with Bachelor alum Joey Graziadei racked up 4.5 million views on TikTok. She shared her secrets, some of which might surprise you.
Being As Authentic As Possible
Ahead of Tuesday’s episode of DWTS, Johnson spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about her viral dances, which had the internet buzzing. Her intent is not to go viral; she choreographs each dance organically.
“It doesn’t, because I want something to go viral on its own, in an authentic way,” Johnson admitted. “I think when you try to force something choreographically, it never really hits as much as just doing your best work and being inspired and creative in the moment, and then being pleasantly surprised when people are just attracted to a section.”
When it came to her iconic Disney dance with Graziadei, she wanted to just have fun. Her goal was to “do something that feels good for us,” and it ended up working in their favor. TikTok users loved the dance and couldn’t stop watching the videos posted on the platform. (Check out who’s joining the 2025 cast of Dancing with the Stars.)
What’s Next For Jenna Johnson?
Johnson and her dancing partner, Corey Feldman, were eliminated on Tuesday’s live episode, which had a double elimination. Also eliminated were NFL alum Baron Davis and professional dancer Britt Stewart.
They performed a Samba to “Return of the Mack” during One Hit Wonder Night. Johnson revealed who she would like to partner with next: Demi Lovato or Jason Kelce. While she would love to compete in a same-sex couple again, Johnson believes the former Eagles player would bring so much “infectious energy in the ballroom.” (Get these five fast facts about Jenna Johnson.)
