The Season 12 finale of When Calls the Heart showed major changes for some of your favorite characters. Rosemary’s family will undergo changes. Meanwhile, Elizabeth and her family left Hope Valley behind. What could this mean for both of them? New details have been revealed.
Changes for Lee and Rosemary’s Family
The latest episode of The Official Hearties Aftershow has teasers for WCTH Season 13. New showrunner Joy Gregory shared what Hearties can expect in the new season, which will premiere in early 2026. Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee’s (Kevan Smith) family will experience significant changes.
In Season 12, Rosemary learned that she was pregnant. Around that time, Lee was appointed as the mayor of Hope Valley. This means his new job will take him away from his family. Lee will have to travel to the Capital City, which will affect their relationship. Those changes will be felt in Season 13.
“We’ll have Rosemary continue her business ventures, but there will be a small change in her family, too,” Gregory teased. “And we’ll see how that challenges her and Lee. Intrigue, intrigue.”
Elizabeth Leaves Hope Valley
That’s not the only change that’s taken place. Also, in the Season 12 finale, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow), Nathan (Kevin McGarry), Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich), and Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller) left Hope Valley behind. The family headed to Cape Fullerton to receive better medical care for Little Jack, after he was diagnosed with diabetes.

Elizabeth learned there was a hospital in Cape Fullerton that could provide Little Jack with the care he needed. Nathan and Allie choose to accompany them on their journey. The family’s future in Hope Valley is currently unknown. However, Elizabeth’s voiceover teased a possible return.
