Erika Jayne had a solid season. She tried not to get into drama, but she wasn’t afraid to dish it out. In Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika’s major storyline is renovating her rental. Behind the scenes, it’s a different story.
BTS Stress
Erika seemingly redeemed herself on the Bravo series. Her life took a turn for the better. Ever since Season 14 wrapped, Erika has dealt with more stress than she can handle. Her attorney, Jim Wilkes, revealed to The U.S. Sun what The Young and the Restless alum is really going through.
Jim is “fighting all the way” for Erika. She’s been entangled in lawsuits ever since she filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi. Her life turned upside down when he was accused of stealing from his clients. The Pretty Mess star was dragged into his lawsuits. Now, she’s dealing with some of her own.
“Erika is dealing with a lot of stress. She’s got a close friend that she’s done the internet podcast with who’s got an incredibly difficult health issue,” Jim told The U.S. Sun. “That’s been very difficult for Erika.” RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp is battling for her life. She revealed that she has Stage 4 cancer. Erika and Teddi launched their podcast, Diamonds in the Rough. However, it went on hiatus as Teddi undergoes treatment.
Lawsuits and Celebrity Feuds
That’s not the only setback in Erika’s life. According to another U.S. Sun report, she could lose $300,000 to a pair of fashion designers who accused her of credit card fraud. Erika fought the lawsuit, claiming that the costume business Marco Marco overcharged her American Express card for $900,000. Christopher Psaila and his partner Marco Morante designed costumes for Erika’s concerts.
They accused her of winning back money she never charged in the first place. The lawsuit has been filed in California and Florida. If Erika doesn’t show up to court, she could lose up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. (This is partly why isn’t leaving RHOBH despite the rumors.)
Meanwhile, she was dragged back to court for her ex-husband’s embezzlement case. Erika was mentioned in a $24 million lawsuit by Girardi’s bankruptcy trustee, Elissa Miller. The trial is set for June. Once again, Erika was accused of using Girardi’s American Express cards to fund her pop music career.
Speaking of music, Brooke Candy called out Erika over their Anora collaboration “Drip.” The rapper claimed the RHOBH star failed to credit her for the song several times. Erika corrected her social media caption after the callout went viral.
