Empire Lucious Lyon
Despite the fact his son, Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Y. Gray) is starring as him, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) is not happy about his depiction in the Empire movie… and he should know who he is, right?!
In this hilarious highlight video from this week’s episode, Luscious stops by the set and completely loses it over the costumes, the design, the writing, and pretty much everything else.
“Who in the hell put this dumbass chain on son? I would never wear something that damn corny. And you, in the glasses, you look like a damn fool. Take them off,” he yelled at the cast.
Despite the director trying to calm Lucious down, the Lyon family patriarch reveals he’s going to fix this mess and make it right. “Apparently you don’t understand that Empire was built on specificity, on details. It’s the details that made it sing, and this is not details,” he said.
“From here on out, this is now a Lucious Lyon joint, and it will be shot like that. And we will do it right!” Watch the clip above to see how the whole scene plays out, and don’t forget Empire will be returning in just over two weeks on Tuesday, October 29, due to the World Series being on Fox next week.
