The sixth and final season of Empire premiered on Thursday, September 24, and while it’s great to have the show back, it’s sad to know this will be the last go-around for these incredible characters.
In this video, a few of the cast members — including Taraji P. Henson (Cookie), Terrence Howard (Lucious), and Trai Byers (Andre) — reveal what they’re most proud of when it comes to Empire’s cultural impact.
“I think what I’m most proud of is the impact a woman like Cookie has had on the world. She was the voice of every mother and the great lengths a mother would go to protect her children,” Henson shares.
For Howard, it’s the fact the show has reached millions of people around the world. “The thing I’m most proud of is in the second season premiere, we had 24 to 28 million people tuned in to watch our little show,” he shared. Watch the clip above to hear everybody else’s answers!
