Empire Flashback Video: How To Get Anika’s Look

Anika Calhoun (Grace Byers) may be gone, but she certainly hasn’t been forgotten. The Empire villainess was a thorn in practically everybody’s side throughout her time on the series, but there was something about her that made you love to hate her.

In this flashback video, Byers and Rita McGhee, the costume designer on Empire, discuss how they achieved Anika’s very specific look. And if looks could kill, Anika would be the one to do it.
