The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, September 9 features ups and downs as Victor’s health scare prompted Phyllis and Adam to make a bet, Nick and Sharon discussed the future, and Zoe decided to cause trouble at The Grand Phoenix’s opening.
Down But Not Out
Victor (Eric Braeden) suffered a health scare in front of Adam (Mark Grossman). Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) told him to get lost. At home, despite Nate (Sean Dominic) giving him the go-ahead, Nikki wouldn’t let her husband attend Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) opening. They danced, instead.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) complimented Adam on how well his poisoning of his daddy was going. When Adam didn’t respond with equal enthusiasm, Phyllis accused him of caring about Victor. She bet that Adam will break and not go through with it to the end.
If she’s right, Adam will stop going after the Newmans — Phyllis didn’t want Summer (Hunter King) caught in the cross-fire. And if he’s right? They’ll think of something…
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) discussed Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) being old enough to go to boarding school. Uh-oh. We know what that means. Get ready for a college-age Faith by Christmas! Nick hoped Chelsea and Sharon can be friends. Sharon said… don’t hold your breath.
Everyone was dressed and ready to party, as Theo (Tyler Johnson) taunted Kyle (Michael Mealor) and tried to charm Mariah (Camryn Grimes). Neither was buying what he’s selling.
Zoe (Anna Grace Barlow) shot daggers Summer’s way, even after Summer apologized for calling her clingy. When she spied an opportunity, Zoe spiked the pitcher of signature cocktails. Libidizone, anyone? (All My Children reference… It’s a thing!) The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
