Just a little reminder, Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) does what she wants when she wants, and nobody makes her do anything on Empire that she doesn’t want to do! You got that?
In this video from the Empire Season 6 premiere, Cookie tells her publicist that she’s not in a place to make a statement regarding her relationship with her estranged husband, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), despite the fact he’s gone off the grid.
“Nobody gets to tell Cookie Lyon what she can and cannot do, sweetheart,” she explains. “Look, I am proud of what my family did with Empire. And Lucious is my husband.
