Heather Tom is reuniting with one of her former co-stars on The Bold and the Beautiful in primetime, but not as an actor. The Emmy-winning star is going to be directing a nighttime series that’s helmed by a BB pal.

As fans of the actress know, Tom has branched out into directing. She’s stepped behind the lens at both BB and The Young and the Restless and also directed some short films, too. Not too long ago, she was accepted into a directors program at CBS.
Now, Tom has announced she’s going to direct an episode of Good Trouble, the Freeform series created and executive produced by Joanna Johnson (ex-Karen). “First day of shooting tomorrow!!!” Tom posted on Instagram. “This episode is insane! Everyone @goodtroubletv has been amazing- I’m so grateful to be here! Almost time to play!”
The Good Trouble episode that Heather Tom is directing is titled “Palentine’s Day” and appears to be, from what’s indicated on the script cover, the 15th episode of the show’s second season. No word yet on when Tom’s show is scheduled to air, however, given the episode’s title, our guess is mid-February of 2020!
Tom and Johnson shared screen-time on BB when Katie and Karen conspired to wrest control of Spencer Publications from Bill when Katie and Bill were on the outs. (Recently, the pair got engaged again.) The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
