Now that Ava Vitalli Not-Really DiMera is living in the family mansion…right next door to EJ DiMera, what will happen between this Days of our Lives odd couple? The viewers have some very strong — and naughty — ideas.
Days of our Lives: Me Versus You
A little over half of the audience, 55%, are looking forward to a fun rivalry and oneupmanship — but nothing more. These two can plot and conspire to either take over the family company together…or they can take sides with Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus), Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), Li Shin (Remington Hoffman), the sky is the limit! But this will be strictly a frenemies arrangement — no benefits of any kind.
DAYS: Baby, You’re a Firework
We saw some major sparks, 24% of you insist. And we demand Ava (Tamara Braun) and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) fall in love. Sure, she’s no Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). But she’s about as close as EJ can get. Plus, she’s Italian. Like, aggressively Italian.
And even though he was raised in England (hence, the accent), and his mother has a…Southern accent of some sort, EJ isn’t against playing the DiMeras’ Italian card when it suits him. Ava will only help him with his street cred. And if he breaks her heart…well, her family has a way of making folks pay when that happens.

Days of our Lives: This Is War
Let them slug it out, 21% of fans urge. EJ hasn’t had an opponent worthy of him in ages, and Ava fits the bill nicely. She’s still mourning Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash), which means she isn’t looking for love right now.
But she is likely to get bored. And EJ is just the diversion the doctor ordered. She can toy with him, and distract him from Sami. It’s a win-win for everyone. Especially the viewers.
