Why Blowing Up Lani Grant’s Life Is Awesome For Days of our Lives

Let’s face it — being blissfully happy and in love on a daytime soap opera can be the kiss of death. On Days of our Lives, Lani Price Grant has it all — a hot husband, gorgeous twins, an exciting career, and a loving family. And while viewers may love to see someone so happy, these shows aren’t called daytime dramas for nothing!

Days of our Lives Blows Up Lani’s Life

Luckily for actress Sal Stowers and us — all that happiness is about to change. The show is poised to blow up her perfect life and we can’t wait to see it! No, it’s not because we want to see Lani suffer. It’s because the actress who plays her has shown she has the chops to play that suffering beautifully and she deserves the right to do so as often as possible!

Who can forget the punch to the gut we all felt when poor Lani lost hers and Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) son, David? She broke our hearts and had us rooting for the day when happiness would once again shine its light down on this heroine. Through it all, her beloved father, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) was by her side.

And now, that important Days of our Lives relationship is about to be taken away — or at least changed — when Lani learns Abe isn’t really her father, nor is Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo) her biological mother. Her entire foundation of what she’s known is going to be ripped out from under her. This has the potential to rip out Lani’s heart — and Stowers will surely shine brightly as it happens.

But it’s not just her performance we have to look forward to! Reynolds will get some meaty stuff too as he feels betrayed by the woman he loves — Paulina Price (Jackée Harry). Primetime Emmy winner Harry will surely wow us as she shows us the desperation that her character felt from Lani’s father. And if that isn’t enough reason to be excited by the fallout — we also get legendary actress Marla Gibbs on hand as Paulina’s mom, Olivia. This is going to be must-see TV and we can’t wait!
