It looks like Days of Our Lives (DOOL) will be righting a massive wrong this fall when Chandler Massey returns to his Emmy-winning role as Will Horton.
When Will was killed two years ago, the fan outcry was enormous, as he’s a legacy character who we watched grow in real time since birth. As a young adult, he was also a very popular character.
However, after Massey left the show, fans couldn’t accept Guy Wilson as a recast no matter how talented he is, so DAYS chose to kill Will in the Necktie Killer storyline rather than recast again or send him out of town like they did with Freddie Smith’s Sonny (Will’s husband).
The fandom and the town mourned, but soon they will need to mourn no more. It should be interesting to see where Will has been and why, but for now, enjoy some memories with the video below with both Massey and Wilson as Will Horton.
