Vico Escorcia made her daytime debut as Arianna “Ari” Horton on Days of our Lives, replacing Marissa Reyes, who exited the soap in March. Albeit a newcomer to daytime, she has amassed an impressive list of acting credits.

Born in Mexico City, Escorcia began acting professionally in 2011, when she was cast as Daniela in the Mexico TV series, Al caer la noche. She has also appeared in the films Eddie Reynolds y Los Angeles de Acero and Hello Stranger. However, she’s perhaps best known for her portrayal of Paloma on the Apple TV+ series Acapulco.

Escorcia revealed that she is “deeply honored” to have joined the cast of DAYS to portray the new Arianna “Ari” Horton. “Growing up in Mexico, telenovelas are embedded in our culture, so I truly feel that I am honoring my country by venturing into this genre at such a legendary stage,” she shared on Instagram. “This set has been an incredible school where I’ve learned, explored, and worked hard to become a better artist. I have the utmost respect for daytime actors; I agree with Ryan (Gossling) — they are some of the hardest working artists in our field.”
4. She’s quite a talent. During her career, Escorcia has been nominated for two Ariel Awards (Mexican Oscars) and received a Silver Goddess Award (Mexican Golden Globes) for her performance as Paquita in Los Crímenes de Mar del Norte. The 2017 film is based on the true story of Gregorio “Goyo” Cárdenas, a serial killer who terrorized Mexico City in 1942.
5. Escorcia is single, but very happily attached. The 2024 Mexican comedy features the pair as Lola and Majo, the two main female characters central to a plot that revolves around a medical error during artificial insemination.
