On Tuesday evening, former Days of our Lives and One Life to Live star Farah Fath revealed the sad news that her family had suffered a tremendous loss.
Fath, known to daytime fans for her portrayals of Mimi Lockhart on DAYS and Gigi Morasco on OLTL, took to social media to eulogize the beloved family member who passed away last month.
“On May 27th, we got one of *those* calls. The ones you cannot prepare for.” explained Fath in the opening lines of her Instagram post, which you can see below. She would then reveal that, “My sweet father-in-law had suddenly been taken from us.”
Her message, alongside many pictures, continued: “As the blur of the next few days ensued, all the precious memories I’ve had with him for the last 9 years had been brought to the surface.
“Glenn was so warm and welcoming to me since the very beginning. Vacations and Thanksgivings, him meeting Spencer for the first time, all of these moments rushing back into my mind… I came to realize there was something about him that I’m not sure I would be able to say about anyone else that I know. He was ALWAYS smiling.
“I could not and cannot, picture his face without seeing all of his teeth too! Always a smile, always happy and positive in any situation, with a true zest for life. He loved working hard and playing hard. He loved his kids and math and pickle ball and cooking. He passed on so many beautiful qualities to my husband that I will cherish even more now and forever.
Rest peacefully, Glenn. It’s not going to be the same without you except that I promise I will try to smile much, much more ❤️”
Fath has been married to Glenn’s son, Phil Galfond, a professional poker player, since May 15, 2015. The couple’s son, Spencer, was born in December 2018.
In addition to her roles in the aforementioned daytime dramas, Fath is also known for her appearances in Friends, Murder She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery, and the made-for-T.V. movie, Non-stop, as well as her own career in the professional poker playing sphere.
