But it’s a new decade, and that calls for new faces. We asked almost 7,000 fans who you expect to be the next Salem couple for the ages:

Allie-Ipp!

So what if she accused him of rape? So what if she can’t say “I Love You?” A winning 38% of the audience still voted for DAYS Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) to go the distance. You don’t even see Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) as a problem. Even if Allie has no trouble saying “I Love You” to her.

The Other Side

A smaller 25% of you are equally as sure that Chanel’s soulmate is Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). They’ve flirted almost a half-dozen times now! If that’s not proof of a lifelong connection, then what is? Plus, it gets Chanel close to Allie. It’s a win-win for everybody. Except for those looking for a unique daytime triangle option.

Good and Bad

Much lower in the DAYS pecking order are the 19% who voted for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Ava Vitale (Tamara Braun). She’s a lifelong criminal. He’s a lifelong do-gooder… with a taste for bad girls, we’ll give you that. On the other hand, she cooks manicotti. Does a man need more than that?

Days of our Lives: W, X

In the last place, at 18%, are Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer). They had sex after Xander took the blame for Gwen’s crimes so that she wouldn’t get in trouble with her Daddy. Sure, it was sweet and noble. But it was also kind of lame. Then again, these are two people who both think that they’re criminal masterminds… who screw up more often than they succeed. They’re perfect for each other!
