The Best and Worst of the 3 Faces of Abigail on Days of Our Lives

Abigail’s in major mental distress and has three personalities to prove it on Days of Our Lives.

Aside from good girl Abigail (Marci Miller), there’s also sultry Gabby and buttoned-up shrink Dr. Laura. The trio is fighting for control of Abigail’s psyche, and they’re each giving it everything they’ve got.

Each alter ego has something to offer that the other doesn’t. Here’s a look at the best and worst of the three faces of Abigail.

Damsel in Distress
Abigail’s terror over the inexplicable things that have been happening to her – from losing time to waking up in a country across the world — has been mesmerizing to watch.

When she finally made her way to Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) office and announced, “I think I’m losing my mind,” it was gut-wrenching.

Having already witnessed Abigail suffer a mental breakdown, viewers were compelled to feel for the damsel in distress and root for her to overcome and take charge of her full self.

On the flip side, Abigail is kind of bland compared to her feisty alters — the fiery Gabby and astute Dr. Laura. They’re both edgy and unpredictable. The thought of her going back to just one personality is a major bummer.

A Girl Named Gabby
She’s got the sexiest wardrobe in Salem, is part of an intriguing new coupling (with Tyler Christopher’s Stefan), and sings to boot–but then again, she’s also quite violent.

Modeled after her best friend Gabi, Gabby takes things up a notch. She’s a captivating loose cannon, and Miller’s spot-on, yet understated portrayal of her makes it impossible to take your eyes off her.

However, Gabby is seriously self-centered. Driven by her lust for Stefan, she totally ignores Abigail’s love and devotion to her family. Namely, husband Chad (Billy Flynn) and their toddler son Thomas. All she cares about is what she wants and needs.

The Good Doctor
Modeled after her psychiatrist grandmother Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Bauer), Dr. Laura is seriously restrained, yet somehow ultra-cool.

Once she ties up her hair and puts on her spectacles, she transforms into in a chess master, moving the pieces of Abigail’s life in the direction she sees fit. She’s all about consuming power and command and won’t be swayed by anyone.

On the other hand, the good “doctor” is a total control freak. She’s totally ignored real shrink Marlena’s advice on how to handle Abigail and her alters, insisting she knows best.

Worse yet, Dr. Laura is a major buzz killer, when it comes to Gabby, who just wants to follow her heart and libido to Stefan.
