Family returns to say a final goodbye to the incomparable Victor Kiriakis. A number of popular actors from the soap’s past bring their characters back to Salem for the poignant memorial service, and DAYS spoilers highlight some of the big returns, key moments, and a funeral crasher – Vivian.

DOOL Spoilers: Family Returns
Rachel Melvin is back as Chelsea Brady, Bo’s (Peter Reckell) daughter and Victor’s granddaughter. When she arrives in town, she has a moment alone with Sonny (Zack Tinker). “The world without Victor Kiriakis,” she mutters softly. “It just doesn’t seem right.”
Soon, everyone begins gathering for the outdoor funeral service. Theresa (Jen Lilley) is among the guests on hand. So are Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier), Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), and Rex (Kyle Lowder). Next to Victor’s casket, there’s a large framed photo of the deceased. Sonny’s standing next to it and staring at his favorite uncle.
There are a few warm family moments. Belle (Martha Madison) shares a hug with Chelsea. And many tears are shed, too. Philip sobs next to his father’s casket, while Justin (Wally Kurth) gets choked up, too, as he looks up to heaven and says, “I’m going to miss my dear Uncle Vic.” There’s even a glimpse of Bo – yes, Bo – in a hospital gown, embracing his departed father.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Enter Vivian Alamain
But what would a Salem funeral be without a little drama to spice things up? After the service, everyone gathers at the Kiriakis mansion, where someone makes a surprise entrance. It’s Victor’s ex-wife, Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel). “What the hell are you doing here, Vivian?” an indignant Kate (Lauren Koslow) asks her longtime nemesis.
“I’ve come to bid adieu to the love of my life,” counters Vivian, raising a glass to her former husband. All Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) can do is roll her eyes in disgust. But, come on, it’s Vivian. Surely she’s back for more than that — like trouble with a capital T. Viewers will have to keep watching to find out why she’s really in town.
Days of our Lives Mystery Unraveled?
Across town, Dick Van Dyke is back. He connects with John (Drake Hogestyn) and has a moment with Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Doug (Bill Hayes). “I used to sing all the time,” he tells the couple. Then, he shares a dance with Julie right in the middle of the hospital.
On the subject of Van Dyke’s mystery character’s identity, some information is discovered. There are a few flashback scenes before John and Marlena (Deidre Hall) approach him with some news. “You know who I am?” he asks. Will they deliver the information he’s been waiting for? See it all for yourself in the video below.
