The DAYS spoilers for Wednesday, September 28, 2022, tease confirmation that, despite insistence to the contrary, confession isn’t always good for the soul — in point of fact, it can have life-altering repercussions. You won’t want to miss a minute of this all-new, revelatory episode.
In light of Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) startling accusation, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) sets about investigating whether or not it’s possible that his beloved Jennifer (Cady McClain) has taken to indulging her addiction to prescription drugs. Sure enough, once the nosey newshound gets to it, he finds incontrovertible proof.
With her previously well-kept secret rumbled and having committed a terrible sin — more on that later –Jennifer finally fesses up to her husband and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) that she’s been abusing a medication made out to Doug Williams (Bill Hayes).
Look for Jennifer’s loved ones to rally around her and offer their full support…but expect that support to waver and possibly wane once Jennifer’s crime comes to light. Remember, there’s only so much Jack can take before he’s overwrought and overwhelmed and in desperate want of a place to flee to.
Despite appearances to the contrary, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is safe as houses. Sure, big bad Clyde Weston (James Read) has his hands wrapped tightly around Chad’s throat, but it’ll soon be big brother EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to the rescue; Elvis’s namesake isn’t the kind of sibling that you’re proud to have or associate with, but he is the kind that will always come through in a pinch.
Despite his insistence to the contrary, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) still cares about Gwen. You wouldn’t say that he’s still in love with her, but he also doesn’t want to see her mowed down by an inebriated driver. When that exact incident transpires, Xander is on hand not only to witness her arrival at University Hospital but to sit by her bedside and attempt to talk her back from the brink. We suspect that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) might have a wee problem with that.
