Happy Days! Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) has finally, FINALLY, come through for Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), and she is out on bail. If that isn’t a reason to celebrate, then the extended, inextricably linked Carver/Price clan doesn’t have one.

Look for Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) to try her hardest to get in the partying spirit, even though the internal revelry won’t be forthcoming. Instead, she’ll be far too preoccupied with all the guilt she’s feeling over Paulina taking the rap for a crime that she committed.

But hey, what else is a mother on a soap opera to do? Actually let her child face up to the consequences of their actions? Fat chance. Mothers covering for the murderous offspring is too ingrained a trope in the soap world. You know what else is a fun soap trope? Murder victims coming back to taunt their killers…hmm.

DOOL Recap: Seeing Red

Though she managed to stifle the urge to attack Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) when she saw him briefly transform into Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), Sarah Horton (Linsey Horton) can’t bring herself to do the same with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).

Might we be getting a window into what happened to poor Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller)? Here’s hoping that there aren’t any letter openers, knives, sharp can openers, or carving forks within reaching range. And let’s hope that poor Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander) and wee Henry won’t be witnesses to the assault.

Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) inquiring mind wants to know — did Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) somehow make it out of Statesville, trek the many miles to DiMera House, chase down her baby sister and puncture a hole in her? Of course, Gwen denies the charges…but we all know how reliable Gwen is. And for those of you who don’t, the answer is not very; also, how’s that rock you’ve been living under? Comfy?
