Despite having no horse in the race, pal to all, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) takes it upon herself to plead Belle Black Brady’s (Martha Madison) case to Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer).

Sure, Belle went and slept with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and tried to use the excuse that she and Shawn were on a legally sanctioned break, and yes, she’s being wholly unreasonable by insinuating that Shawn would have to make a choice between her and his son — which actually isn’t Shawn’s, but only we know that; the characters are still very much in the dark — but wouldn’t Shawn feel better if he just forgave his faithless wife for her third indiscretion?

Meanwhile, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) spies Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) locking lips and gets all up in her feelings. Guess she’s regretting pushing Chanel away and jumping headfirst into that engagement with Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams), huh?

DOOL Spoilers: Behind Every Good Man…

Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) is never one to let the grass grow, so now that she’s Mrs. Abraham Carver (James Reynolds) she’s got some ideas on how Salem should best be run and the position to which Abe should aspire. She thinks that her man is destined for greater things than being a mere Mayor. How about Governor? Or State Senator? Well, probably not that last one. That would require the show to finally name the state that Days of our Lives is set in.

Kirsten DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is settling into life at Statesville rather nicely – perhaps it reminds her of that dungeon she was locked in way back when — and her lucky streak continues when she has a fortuitous run-in with Christian Maddox AKA Evan Frears (Brock Kelly). Might she piggyback on whatever plan Evan and his pops got cooking?
